Forgotten Short Ribs

Ingredients
- 3 to 4 lb short ribs
- 1 12 tsp salt
- 12 tsp pepper
- 1 can tomato sauce or 1 bottle tomato catsup
- 14 c brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp vinegar
- 1 Tbsp minced onions
- 1 tsp liquid smoke if desired
Directions
- Salt and pepper ribs
- Put in Dutch oven
- In small pan combine remaining ingredients
- Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes
- Pour over short ribs
- Cover and bake at 275 for 4 hours or until tender
- Spoon off excess fat prior to serving
