Franklin Pecan Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 lb butter
  • 2 c sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 4 c plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 14 tsp salt
  • 12 lb candied cherries
  • 12 lb candied pineapple
  • 1 lb pecans
  • 1 Tbsp butternut flavoring

Directions

  1. Cream butter and sugar
  2. Add beaten eggs
  3. Sift flour salt and baking powder
  4. Add 3 cups of flour mixture
  5. Pour last cup of flour over fruits and pecans
  6. Add this to other ingredients
  7. Add flavoring mix well
  8. Grease and flour a tube pan
  9. Pour cake in pan
  10. Bake in 300 oven for 3 hours
