FredS Pound Cake

Ingredients

• 2 c sugar
• 2 sticks butter
• 2 34 c flour plain not self-rising
• 3 eggs
• 12 tsp baking soda
• 1 c buttermilk

Directions

1. Combine buttermilk and baking soda set aside
2. Baking soda will react with buttermilk and volume will increase Preheat oven to 325
3. Cream together butter at room temperature and sugar Alternately add eggs one at a time with flour and buttermilk mixture
4. Bake for approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes or until golden brown
