French Lace Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 c all-purpose flour
- 12 c corn syrup
- 23 c brown sugar packed
- 1 c finely chopped nuts
- 12 c shortening
Directions
- Heat oven to 375
- Measure flour blend with nuts
- Bring corn syrup shortening and sugar to boil in saucepan over medium heat stirring constantly
- Remove from heat gradually stir in flour and nuts
- Drop batter by level teaspoonful about 3 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet
- Bake only 8 to 9 cookies at a time Bake for 5 to 6 minutes remove from oven and allow to stand 5 minutes before removing from baking sheet
- Makes about 4 dozen cookies
