French Rolls

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 3 c milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 pkg dry yeast
  • 12 lb butter melted
  • 34 c sugar
  • flour

Directions

  1. Cream butter sugar and salt
  2. Add beaten eggs
  3. Liquefy yeast in 1 teaspoon sugar
  4. Add to mixture
  5. Add milk and enough flour to make stiff smooth dough
  6. Let rise 5 hours
  7. Take off large chunk off dough roll thin on floured surface
  8. Cut into wedges spread with soft butter
  9. Roll from broad end to narrow end
  10. Place rolls on ungreased cookie sheet
  11. Let rise 3 to 4 hours
  12. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes
  13. Yields approximately 60 rolls
