French Silk Chocolate Pie
Ingredients
- 1 c sifted plain flour
- 12 tsp salt
- 13 c shortening
- 2 or 3 Tbsp cold water
Directions
- Sift together flour and salt
- Cut in shortening until particles are the size of peas
- Sprinkle cold water over mixture tossing lightly with fork until dough is moist enough to hold togehter
- Form into a ball
- Roll out to a 10-inch circle
- Fit pastry loosely into an 8-inch pie pan
- Fold edge to form standing rim flute
- Bake in oven at 450 for 10 to 12 minutes Cool
