French Toast With Brandied Lemon Butter

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 14 tsp vanilla extract
  • 12 slices bread French sliced and left out overnight to dry out
  • powdered sugar optional
  • 2 Tbsp plus 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 c whole milk
  • butter

Directions

  1. In a shallow dish beat eggs sugar salt milk and vanilla Soak bread in mixture
  2. Heat butter over medium-high heat and cook each slice until lightly browned on each side
  3. Serve with maple syrup or Brandied Lemon Butter and lemon slices
  4. Sprinkle with powdered sugar
  5. Serves 6
