Fresh Corn-On-The-Cob

Ingredients

  • fresh ears corn
  • salt
  • lemon juice

Directions

  1. Remove husks from ears of corn brush off silks
  2. Drop in kettle of boiling water to cover adding 1 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon lemon juice to each quart of water
  3. Cover and cook 5 to 8 minutes or until milk is set and corn is tender
  4. Cooking time depends on maturity of corn
  5. Remove from water and serve with butter salt and ground black pepper
