Fresh Lemon Pie

Ingredients

• 1 c sugar
• 3 heaping Tbsp cornstarch
• 1 34 c water
• dash of salt
• 2 egg yolks save whites in bowl for later
• 14 c fresh lemon juice
• 14 c white sugar

Directions

1. Cook the sugar cornstarch and the water until thickened Beat the egg yolks adding 14 cup sugar then pour some of the hot mixture into egg mixture and back into cooking pan to thicken more
2. Add the lemon juice
3. When thick enough for pie crust add 1 tablespoon butter and 12 teaspoon of vanilla
