Fresh Peach Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 c crushed fresh peaches about 4
- 12 c sugar
- 12 c orange juice
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp vanilla or use half almond extract
Directions
- In 1 12-quart saucepan mix crushed peaches sugar and orange juice
- Place over high heat and stir until boiling
- Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 15 minutes or until thick without covering
- Remove from heat stir in lemon juice and extract Makes 2 cups
- Serve warm on pound cake or chill the sauce to make up parfaits to place in freezer for future use
