Fried Green Plantains

Ingredients
- 2 or 3 green plantains
- enough oil to fry
Directions
- Peel plantains and cut diagonally to 1-inch thick pieces Heat oil to about 350 medium to high heat
- Fry them for about 7 to 8 minutes turning them occasionally
- Remove them and squash them flat
- Fry them again for another 3 or 4 minutes until they brown
- Remove onto a plate with an absorbent paper towel
- Serve with a little salt on top optional
- Serve with rice and chicken
