Fried Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 12 c all-purpose flour
  • 18 tsp salt
  • 18 tsp pepper
  • 3 eggs beaten
  • 1 12 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 12 tsp water
  • 32 large fresh mushrooms
  • 1 c Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • vegetable oil
  • Tartar Sauce recipe follows

Directions

  1. Combine flour salt and pepper in a small bowl set aside Combine eggs 1 12 teaspoons oil and water mix well
  2. Clean mushrooms with damp paper towels
  3. Dredge mushrooms in flour mixture dip in egg mixture
  4. Roll in breadcrumbs
  5. Chill at least 1 12 hours
  6. Deep fry mushrooms in hot oil 375 until golden brown
  7. Drain on paper towels
  8. Serve mushrooms with Tartar Sauce
  9. Yields 32 appetizers
