Fried Rabbit

Ingredients

  • 1 young rabbit cut in serving pieces
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 12 tsp pepper
  • 14 c vinegar
  • 1 c flour
  • 12 c shortening

Directions

  1. Soak rabbit overnight in 14 cup vinegar and 1 quart water Rinse and coat with salt pepper and flour
  2. Place in hot shortening or oil and brown on all sides
  3. Turn heat down and cook on low heat until tender about 30 minutes
