Frizzled Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 lb round steak cut in 14-inch strips
  • oil
  • 1 lb onions sliced
  • 13 c soy sauce
  • water
  • 1 to 2 c sliced celery
  • cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 can mushrooms

Directions

  1. Cook steak in small amount of oil until slightly browned
  2. Add onions cook until transparent
  3. Add soy sauce sugar and 2 cups water
  4. Cook until meat is tender 1 12 to 2 hours adding water as necessary
  5. Add mushrooms and celery
  6. Cook for 15 minutes longer and thicken with desired amount of cornstarch mixed with water
  7. Serve on rice
