Frosty Fruit Bars

Ingredients

• 12 c shortening melted can be part butter
• 1 c sugar
• 1 egg
• 1 T grated orange rind optional
• 14 c pineapple or orange juice
• 2 12 c sifted flour
• 1 t baking soda
• 12 t salt
• 12 t cinnamon
• 12 t nutmeg
• 1 12 c seedless raisins
• 12 chopped nuts

Directions

1. Mix together thoroughly the shortening sugar egg and orange rind
2. Stir in the juice
3. Sift together the flour soda and spices
4. Add to shortening mixture and mix well
5. Add raisins and nuts and mix together
