Frosty Strawberry SquaresMrs Martin

Ingredients
- 1 c sifted flour
- 14 c brown sugar
- 12 c chopped nuts
- 1 stick margarine melted
- 2 egg whites
- 1 c sugar
- 2 c strawberries or use 1 10 oz pkg frozen strawberries partially thawed reduce sugar to 12 c
- 2 Tbsp lemon juice
- 12 pt heavy cream whipped
Directions
- Stir together first 4 ingredients and spread evenly in shallow baking dish
- Bake at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes stirring occasionally
- Let cool Sprinkle 23 of the crumbs in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan
- In a large mixing bowl beat the egg whites sugar strawberries and lemon juice at high speed until very stiff peaks form
- Fold in the heavy cream whipped
- Pour over crumbs in pan
- Sprinkle remaining 13 crumbs over top Freeze overnight Cut into squares
- Garnish with dash of whipped cream and a whole strawberry
