Fruit Cake Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 pkg chopped dates
• 12 lb red and green cherries
• 12 lb pineapple
• 4 c pecans
• 3 c plain flour
• 3 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp nutmeg
• 1 tsp allspice
• 12 tsp salt
• 1 34 c sugar
• 12 c shortening or butter
• 3 eggs
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 12 tsp baking soda
• 12 c warm water

Directions

1. Chop dates cherries pineapple and pecans
2. Dredge in a mixture of the next 5 ingredients
3. Cream sugar and shortening or butter
4. Beat in eggs one at a time
5. Add vanilla
6. Add baking soda with warm water
7. Add this to the mixture with fruit and flour mixture
8. Stir well
9. Drop by teaspoons on cookie sheet and bake at 375 until done
