Fruit Cocktail Dessert Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 c sifted flour
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 1 12 c sugar
  • 2 tsp soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1 or 2 cans fruit cocktail
  • 34 c brown sugar
  • broken pecans optional

Directions

  1. Place the egg in a bowl and beat
  2. Add the fruit cocktail then add dry ingredients except brown sugar
  3. Mix well
  4. Put in ungreased pan
  5. Sprinkle with the brown sugar
  6. Bake at 325 for 50 minutes
  7. Broken pecans can be added on top of brown sugar before baking
