Fruit Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 sticks margarine
- 2 c light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 12 c buttermilk
- 3 12 c sifted flour
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 12 c chopped pecans
- 2 c candied cherries
- 2 c chopped dates
Directions
- Cream margarine sugar and eggs stir in buttermilk
- Sift flour and soda together add to creamed mixture
- Fold in pecans cherries and dates
- Drop small amounts onto lightly greased cookie sheet
- Bake at 400 for 8 to 10 minutes
- Yields 6 dozen cookies
