Fudge Four OClocks

Ingredients

  • 2 oz chocolate
  • 14 c shortening
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c sugar
  • 1 c cake flour
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 12 c milk
  • 1 c pecans or walnuts chopped

Directions

  1. Melt chocolate and pour over shortening mix well
  2. Beat eggs until thick and lemon colored
  3. Add sugar gradually beating well with each addition
  4. Combine mixtures and add a little of the flour
  5. Sift rest of the flour salt and baking soda together add alternately with milk
  6. Add chopped nuts
  7. Spread in 2 greased and floured 8 x 8-inch pans
  8. Bake in a slow oven 325 for 20 minutes
  9. Frost with vanilla frosting and cut into bars
