Fudge Icing
Ingredients
- 3 squares 3 oz unsweetened chocolate
- 14 c butter or margarine
- 2 c sifted confectioners sugar
- 18 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 13 c hot whole milk or cream
Directions
- Combine unsweetened chocolate and butter in top of double boiler
- Melt over hot water
- Put confectioners sugar salt vanilla and milk into a small bowl
- Beat on low speed until blended
- Then beat in chocolate mixture on high speed
- Beat until thick enough to spread
- More powdered sugar or cream may be added to give desired consistency
- Makes enough frosting for 2 8-inch layers
