Fudge Sauce Hot Or Cold1 Pint

Ingredients
- 14 c butter
- 2 1 oz sq bitter chocolate
- dash of salt
- 1 12 c sugar
- 1 c less 2 Tbsp evaporated milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
Directions
- Heat butter and chocolate over simmering water in double boiler until melted
- Stir in salt then the sugar in four or five portions being sure to blend thoroughly
- The mix becomes very thick
- Now stir in milk very slowly
- Then cook 5 to 6 minutes longer stirring frequently
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla Store in refrigerator in a container with tight fitting lid
- To use hot set jar in warm water for 30 minutes
