Fudgy Bonbons

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg or 2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 14 c butter or margarine
  • 1 can Eagle Brand milk
  • 2 c plain flour
  • 12 c finely chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 60 Hersheys Kisses or white and chocolate striped candy kisses
  • 2 oz white baking bar or vanilla flavored candy coating
  • 1 Tbsp shortening or oil

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Combine chips and margarine
  3. Cook and stir over low heat until melted
  4. Add milk and mix well
  5. Mix flour nuts chocolate mixture and vanilla mix well
  6. Shape 1 tablespoon of dough around each Kiss covering completely
  7. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet
  8. Bake 6 to 8 minutes Cookies will be soft and appear shiny but will become firm as cool
  9. Do not overbake
  10. Remove and cool
