Garbage Cake

Ingredients

• 2 c applesauce
• 2 eggs
• 12 c butter
• 1 c dates chopped
• 1 c walnuts chopped
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 12 tsp lemon extract
• 13 tsp salt
• 1 12 c sugar
• 2 tsp baking soda
• 2 c all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• 1 tsp ground nutmeg
• 12 tsp ground cloves
• 1 Tbsp molasses

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 325
2. Stir all ingredients into large bowl in order given
3. Butter should be soft
4. Mix by hand then beat on medium speed with mixer for 2 minutes
5. Pour into buttered 9 x 13-inch pan and bake 1 hour and 20 minutes until a toothpick comes out dry
6. Cool then top with cream cheese frosting
