GarryS Rum Cream Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 baked crumb crust
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1 scant c sugar
  • 1 Tbsp gelatin
  • 12 c dark rum
  • 1 pt heavy cream or use Cool Whip

Directions

  1. Beat the egg yolks until light in color then gradually beat in the sugar
  2. Soak the gelatin in the cold water and put on low heat stirring until gelatin is dissolved
  3. In a slow stream pour the gelatin mixture into the egg mixture beating constantly
  4. Cool mixture
  5. Stir in the rum
