GenevaS Coffee Bars
Ingredients
- 14 c shortening
- 1 c brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 12 c hot coffee
- 1 12 c sifted flour
- 12 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp soda
- 12 tsp cinnamon
- 12 c chocolate chips or raisins
- 13 c chopped nuts
Directions
- In a large bowl cream together the shortening and sugar Add the eggs and beat thoroughly
- Add the hot coffee
- Mix well Sift together the flour baking powder baking soda and cinnamon Stir into the egg mixture blending well
- Add the chocolate chips and nuts
- Pour into a greased jelly roll pan and bake at 350 for 15 to 20 minutes
- While still warm frost with a powdered sugar glaze
