GeriS Crunchy Sweet Dills
Ingredients
- 1 46 oz jar Vlasic Polish crunchy dills
- 2 12 c sugar
- 23 c vinegar
- 23 c juice from pickles
- 12 c water
- 1 tsp each mustard seed celery seed and dill seed
Directions
- Drain juice from pickles saving 23 cup
- Put pickle juice sugar water vinegar and spices in a large 3-quart saucepan and bring to a boil
- Slice pickles in 1-inch slices and put back into jar
- When vinegar mixture has cooled to lukewarm pour over pickles
- Replace lid and shake well
- Put in refrigerator
- Each day for 10 days shake pickles to distribute spices
- After the 10 day period you will have great pickles
- These make a nice gift especially for the holidays
