German Apples And Cabbage

Ingredients
- 2 large red apples
- 1 medium head red cabbage
- 14 c red wine vinegar
- salt and pepper to taste
- 14 c butter
- 14 c water
- 14 c honey
Directions
- Core and slice apples and cook in butter in a large skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes
- Stir in the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil
- Lower heat cover and simmer until cabbage is tender a little more than half an hour
