German Apples And Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 2 large red apples
  • 1 medium head red cabbage
  • 14 c red wine vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 14 c butter
  • 14 c water
  • 14 c honey

Directions

  1. Core and slice apples and cook in butter in a large skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes
  2. Stir in the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil
  3. Lower heat cover and simmer until cabbage is tender a little more than half an hour
