German Chocolate Caramel Bars

Ingredients

  • 60 light caramels
  • 12 c evaporated milk
  • 1 18 oz pkg German chocolate cake mix
  • 13 c evaporated milk
  • 1 c chopped nuts
  • 1 c chocolate chips
  • 34 c oleo melted

Directions

  1. In a pan combine caramels and milk
  2. Heat until all caramels are melted and set aside
  3. In a large bowl combine cake mix oleo 13 cup milk and nuts
  4. Press 12 of the dough into a greased 9 x 11-inch pan or dish
  5. Save the rest of the dough for topping
  6. Bake at 350 for 8 minutes
  7. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the mix
  8. Spread the caramel mixture over the chocolate chips
  9. Then crumble the rest of the cake mixture over the caramels
  10. Bake for 18 minutes at 350
  11. Cool before cutting
