German Chocolate Filling And Topping

Ingredients

  • 1 c evaporated milk
  • 1 c sugar
  • 3 egg yolks slightly beaten
  • 12 stick butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 c flaked coconut
  • 1 c chopped nuts

Directions

  1. In medium saucepan combine milk egg yolks and butter
  2. Cook stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil
  3. Remove from heat add remaining ingredients
  4. Cool until thick enough to hold shape stirring occasionally
  5. Frosts two 9-inch round layer cakes
