Giant Chocolate Chippers

Ingredients
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 c margarine or butter softened
- 1 c oil
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 3 12 c all-purpose or unbleached flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 c quick cooking rolled oats
- 1 c coconut
- 1 c crisp rice cereal
- 12 oz pkg 2 c chocolate chips
Directions
- Heat oven to 350
- Line cookie sheets with foil
- In large bowl beat sugar brown sugar and margarine until light and fluffy Add oil egg and vanilla
- Beat well
- Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup
- Level off and add flour baking soda cream of tartar and salt
- Stir in oats coconut cereal and chocolate chips
- Press scant cup of dough into a 6-inch circle on foil-lined cookie sheet
- Repeat with remaining dough placing cookies at least 2 12 inches apart
- Bake at 350 for 18 to 22 minutes or until light and golden brown
- Cool completely on cookie sheets to prevent breaking
- Makes 8 large cookies 32 servings
