Ginger Cup
Ingredients
- 4 oranges
- 3 lemons
- 24 lumps sugar
- 1 c shredded pineapple
- 1 qt ginger ale
- 1 doz cloves
- 12 level tsp cinnamon
- 13 tsp grated nutmeg
- 1 pt water
- cracked ice
Directions
- Push the cloves into the oranges and let them stand an hour that the flavor may be extracted
- Rub the sugar over the rind of the oranges and lemons then add juice of these to the sugar
- Add the spices and pineapple and let stand two hours
- At the time of serving put in the water and ginger ale and pour over the cracked ice
