Gingerbread
Ingredients
- 12 c boiling water
- 12 c shortening
- 12 c brown sugar
- 12 c molasses
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 12 c flour
- 12 tsp salt
- 12 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp baking soda
- 34 tsp ginger
- 34 tsp cinnamon
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350
- Pour boiling water over shortening Add sugar molasses and egg then beat well
- Add sifted dry ingredients and beat until smooth
- Pour in ungreased 8 x 8-inch pan and bake 30 to 35 minutes at 350
