Glazed Fresh Apple Cookies

Ingredients

• 2 c flour
• 1 tsp baking soda
• 12 c shortening
• 1 13 c packed brown sugar
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 12 tsp each cloves and nutmeg
• 1 egg unbeaten
• 1 c chopped nuts
• 1 c finely chopped apples unpared
• 14 c apple juice or milk
• 1 12 c powdered sugar
• 1 Tbsp soft oleo
• 1 14 tsp vanilla
• 2 12 Tbsp milk

Directions

1. Heat oven to 400
2. Sift flour with baking soda set aside Mix shortening brown sugar spices and egg until well blended Stir 12 of flour mix in then nuts and apples
3. Blend in milk or juice and remaining flour
4. Drop by tablespoon on greased sheet 2-inches apart
5. Bake 11 to 14 minutes
