Gold Corn Chowder
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 c onion
- 12 c celery
- 3 c potatoes
- 3 c milk
- 1 16 oz can cream-style corn
- 14 tsp pepper
- 2 c 8 oz shredded Cheddar cheese
- parsley sprigs
Directions
- Melt butter in a 3-quart saucepan
- Saute onion and celery until tender about 3 minutes
- Stir in potatoes milk corn and pepper
- Heat to serving temperature
- Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted
- If necessary return to fire to finish melting cheese but dont boil Serve immediately
- Yields 8 cups
