Gold Corn Chowder

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 c onion
  • 12 c celery
  • 3 c potatoes
  • 3 c milk
  • 1 16 oz can cream-style corn
  • 14 tsp pepper
  • 2 c 8 oz shredded Cheddar cheese
  • parsley sprigs

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a 3-quart saucepan
  2. Saute onion and celery until tender about 3 minutes
  3. Stir in potatoes milk corn and pepper
  4. Heat to serving temperature
  5. Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted
  6. If necessary return to fire to finish melting cheese but dont boil Serve immediately
  7. Yields 8 cups
