Golden Cheese Grits
Ingredients
- 1 14 c uncooked grits
- 3 12 c boiling water
- 1 roll garlic cheese or bacon-flavored cheese
- 12 c butter 1 stick
- 2 eggs
- 1 c milk
- 13 to 12 c Cheddar cheese grated
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350
- Grease 2-quart casserole
- Cook grits in boiling water
- When almost done crumble cheese and butter into grits
- Blend eggs and milk together
- Then mix eggmilk mixture with grits
- Pour into greased casserole and bake at 350 for 45 minutes uncovered
- Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake uncovered 15 minutes longer or until cheese is melted
