Golden Midas Dog Biscuits

Ingredients

• 1 c whole wheat flour
• 12 c all-purpose flour
• 34 c dry milk
• 13 c Crisco shortening
• 1 Tbsp instant bouillon
• 12 c hot water
• 12 c quick rolled oats
• 14 c yellow corn meal
• 1 egg slightly beaten

Directions

1. Combine flours powdered milk oats and corn meal
2. Cut in shortening until it resembles coarse crumbs
3. Stir in egg
4. Stir bouillon in hot water until dissolved
5. Slowly pour into flour mixture
6. Stir with fork to moisten
7. Form ball and knead on floured board about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic
8. Divide dough in half and roll out 14 to 12-inch thick
9. Cut out cookies with dog bone shaped cookie cutter
10. Arrange on ungreased cookie sheet
11. Bake at 325 for 15 minutes on one side
12. Turn over biscuits and bake for 15 minutes more on other side
