Good Rich Yeast Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 pkg dry yeast
- 13 c plus 1 tsp sugar
- 14 c lukewarm water
- 4 c flour self-rising
- 12 to 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 c milk
- 12 c melted shortening
Directions
- Dissolve yeast with 1 teaspoon sugar in lukewarm water
- Sift flour with remaining sugar and salt add eggs milk shortening and cooled yeast
- Mix Turn dough onto floured board and knead
- Pinch off and roll into golf ball size balls place in greased muffin pans
- Let rise covered with light cloth
- Bake at 350 until golden brown
- Yields about 36 rolls
