Gooey Butter Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg yellow cake mix
  • 12 c melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 8 oz pkg cream cheese softened
  • 1 16 oz pkg powdered sugar sifted
  • 2 large eggs
  • powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a large mixing bowl beat at medium speed until blended
  2. Pour batter into a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan set aside
  3. Beat cream cheese until creamy
  4. Gradually add sifted powdered sugar beat well
  5. Add eggs one at a time beating after each addition
  6. Pour cream cheese mixture evenly over batter
  7. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until golden
  8. Let cool completely in pan or wire rack
  9. Sprinkle with additional powdered sugar
