Gourmet Cheese Balls
Ingredients
- 8 oz Brie or Camembert cheese
- 12 c all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 12 c milk
- 1 c fine breadcrumbs
- oil for deep frying
Directions
- Cut the cheese into bite size pieces
- Spread the flour on a square of waxed paper
- Beat the egg with a fork and mix well with the milk in a shallow bowl
- Spread the breadcrumbs on another square of waxed paper
- Heat oil in a deep fat fryer or wok to 325
- Dip the pieces of cheese in flour shaking off excess
- Dip in the egg and milk mixture and roll in breadcrumbs
- Deep fry for 10 to 15 seconds or until golden brown
- Serve immediately
- Makes approximately 30 pieces
