Grandma CarterS Prune Cake

Ingredients

• 2 c flour
• 2 c sugar
• 12 c butter or other shortening
• 12 c oil
• 1 c buttermilk
• 3 eggs
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp soda
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp nutmeg
• 1 tsp cloves
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 1 c cooked prunes

Directions

1. Sift dry ingredients together except soda
2. Cream butter and sugar
3. Add eggs vanilla and oil to butter and sugar
4. Mix soda with buttermilk
5. Mix all ingredients
6. Add cooked prunes
7. Bake in a mold at 325 for 1 hour to 1 hour and 10 minutes
