Grandma ES Molded Shrimp Salad
Ingredients
- 14 c cold water
- 2 c tomato juice
- 1 small onion chopped fine
- 1 envelope Knox gelatine
- 12 tsp salt
- dash cayenne pepper
- small bay leaf if desired
- 1 Tbsp mild vinegar or lemon juice
- 12 lb small cleaned shrimp diced
- 1 stalk celery
Directions
- Mix tomato juice bay leaf salt cayenne pepper chopped onion and celery also chopped
- Put in saucepan and simmer 10 minutes
- Soften gelatine in cold water and dissolve in hot tomato juice mixture
- Add vinegar remove bay leaf and cool
