Grandma SteveS Cornmeal Dinner Rolls

Ingredients

  • 13 c cornmeal uncooked
  • 12 c margarine
  • 12 c sugar
  • 2 c milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 pkg yeast softened in 14 c lukewarm water
  • 4 to 5 12 c flour

Directions

  1. Cook the first 5 ingredients until thick cool until lukewarm Add the eggs 2 teaspoons sugar and the softened yeast
  2. Mix well then add the flour
  3. Knead well place in greased bowl
  4. Let rise for 1 hour or more
  5. Punch down roll out
  6. Cut with biscuit cutter
  7. Let rise until doubled in a greased pan
  8. Bake at 365 for 15 minutes
