Grandmother SkupinS Molasses Cookies

Ingredients

• 34 c shortening
• 1 c sugar
• 14 c molasses
• 1 beaten egg
• 2 tsp soda
• 14 tsp salt
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp ginger
• 2 c flour

Directions

1. Cream shortening and sugar
2. Add molasses and eggs
3. Beat well
4. Sift all dry ingredients together flour soda salt cinnamon and ginger
5. Add dry ingredients to mixture and mix well
6. Drop by teaspoonfuls about 1-inch apart on greased cookie sheet
7. Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 350
8. Makes about 4 dozen
