GrandmotherS Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
- 12 c butter or margarine softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 12 c baking cocoa
- 1 c boiling water
- 1 c white sugar
- 1 c packed brown sugar
- 12 c milk
- 2 c all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
Directions
- In a large mixing bowl cream butter and sugars
- Add eggs milk and vanilla beat well
- Combine flour cocoa salt baking powder and soda
- Add to creamed mixture and mix well
- Stir in water mix until smooth
- Batter will be thin
- Pour into a greased and floured 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan
- Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes or until cake tests done
