Granny DeanS Famous Fudge
Ingredients
- 23 c cocoa
- 3 c sugar
- 18 tsp salt
- 14 c margarine
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 12 c milk
Directions
- Combine dry ingredients in saucepan
- Mix well
- Gradually add milk while stirring being sure to keep mixture smooth
- Bring to a bubbly boil on medium heat stirring constantly
- Stir bottom of pot as well to avoid sticking
- Bring to a full rolling boil for several minutes until mixture reaches soft ball stage Remove from heat
- Add butter and vanilla
- Dont stir
- Cool at room temperature until it loses its gloss
- Beat with rotary beaters for about 5 minutes until thickening begins
- Pour into buttered 9 x 13-inch flat pan
- Cool in fridge or on the porch in the winter
- Cut into 2-inch squares
