GrannyS Beef Stroganoff

Ingredients

  • 2 lb sirloin steak cubed
  • 2 c sliced fresh mushrooms can substitute canned
  • 1 c finely chopped onions
  • 14 c butter
  • 3 beef bouillon cubes
  • 1 c boiling water
  • 2 Tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 12 c water
  • 12 c sour cream
  • 4 c cooked rice

Directions

  1. Saute mushrooms and onions in 3 tablespoons butter until brown
  2. Remove mushrooms etc
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to pan Brown meat Dissolve bouillon cubes in water pour over meat Add tomato paste mustard and salt Cover and simmer 45 minutes until tender Combine flour and water
  4. Slowly stir into meat mixture Cook stirring constantly until mixture comes to a boil
  5. Reduce heat Add mushrooms onions and sour cream
  6. Heat but dont boil Serve over rice
