GrannyS Tea Cakes

Ingredients
- 12 c shortening
- 12 c margarine softened
- 2 c sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 12 c buttermilk
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp soda
- 12 tsp salt
- flour
Directions
- Cream shortening margarine and sugar in mixer bowl until light and fluffy
- Blend in eggs vanilla buttermilk baking powder soda and salt
- Add flour gradually until mixture forms dough which can be easily rolled
- Roll to 38 inch thickness on floured surface
- Cut as desired
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet
- Bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown Cool on wire rack
- Yield 6 to 8 servings
