Grape-Nuts Pudding

Ingredients

  • 12 c Grape-Nuts cereal
  • 2 12 c warm milk
  • 2 large eggs or 3 small
  • 14 to 12 c sugar
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • grated nutmeg optional

Directions

  1. Soak cereal in warm milk for 10 minutes
  2. Beat eggs with fork add sugar to taste
  3. Add salt vanilla and cerealmilk mixture Spoon into a buttered 5 cup casserole dish
  4. If desired sprinkle top with nutmeg
  5. Set casserole into a pan partly filled with water
  6. Bake at 350 for about 1 hour
  7. Stir at least twice during the first 20 minutes of baking
  8. Makes 4 to 6 servings
  9. Serve warm or chilled
  10. Store leftover pudding in refrigerator
