Grape Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 regular pie crust recipe
  • 5 to 5 12 c Concord grapes
  • 1 12 c sugar
  • 14 c flour
  • 14 tsp salt
  • 1 pat margarine

Directions

  1. Pop middle out of grape skins save skins
  2. Put pulp middles in saucepan and bring to a boil
  3. Simmer 5 minutes
  4. Put hot pulp through colander or food mill to remove seeds
  5. Combine strained pulp with skins
  6. Add sugar flour and salt
  7. Pour into unbaked crust
  8. Dot with margarine
  9. Add top crust with slits lattice or circular cut outs on top of pie
  10. Bake at 425 for 35 to 45 minutes
